Loro hanno montato un bompressino a prua del catamarano.
Come leggete sotto sembra che andranno più veloci al lasco ma, secondo noi, l’hanno fatto solamente per far in modo che Ernesto possa dire a Larry di averlo più lungo.

Grant Simmer: The longer bowsprit gives us the opportunity to add more sail area and change the balance of the boat downwind. It won’t have any affect on the upwind sailing; only on the downwind performance of the boat.

Non si capisce il perchè nella traduzione inglese gli spunti fallòcrati si perdano…
Credo proprio che Bmw oracle sia pronta realmente a questa sfida e che comunque ci siano questi escamotage per testimoniare che nessuno dei due sia indietro all'altro, quando in realtà io credo non sia così.Viva l'America's Cup!
